Dexmedetomidine

(*) Equivalent to 0.042 g of dexmedetomidine.
Indications for use:
Sedative & analgesic agent used to facilitate checkups, clinical procedures, minor surgeries and minor dental procedures; also, as a pre-anesthetic for general anesthesia in dogs and cats. In cats, when used as a premedication, it must be applied prior to the administration of ketamine as a general anesthetic.
Animal species to which it is intended:
Canines and felines.
Dosage: Canines: recommended doses for sedation purposes are between 5 and 10 g/kg administered intramuscularly or intravenously, which is equivalent to a value between 0.01 and 0.02 ml/k.l.w.
Felines: for sedation and analgesia purposes, or as a pre-anesthetic: 40 g/kg administered intramuscularly, equivalent to 0.08 ml/ k.l.w.
Presentation: Vial with a net content of 10 ml.
